GOT BAPTISED! FINALLY!

Hi everyone!!! Ok I sincerely apologise for my totaaaaaal dropping off the grid - but I've been soooo tremendously preoccupied with EVERYTHING THAT LIFE COULD OFFER!
God, changing churches to Bread of Life Christian Church, boy (notice the absence of plural ;D), baptism, getting an internship (finally) and "trying" to aim for D-HDs at uni.

I've got so much on my plate right now that all I can do is leave it to God to handle for me, one day at a time. I think it's better to "do your best and let God do the rest" but at the moment, I am soooo lazy and unmotivated, but I'll be working towards that!

But I thought this was a much needed post. Just to let you all know where I'm at spiritually, and how I am generally I guess.

So just last night I went to see Philip Mantofa's crusade "Trip to Hell", which recounts the experience of when his spirit (so in his sleep, but all his senses were fully conscious) was taken to Hades (hell) by God.

We started off with some amazing worship...

My not-so-baby-anymore-baby sister came along....and Hoffman's little brother next to her, and another fellow girl volunteer who was sooooo passionate in worshipping it was like....ugggggghhhhh so good to watch her soak in God's presence (I think she'd appreciate this photo of her...or not o.o)

ANDDDDDDD *DRUMROOLLLLLLS* the amazing Philip Mantofa! Handsome not? 

But that's besides the point o.o

His preaching was awesome man....like I dig other preachers too, but he stood out in the sense that he spoke with so much urgency, so much worry for our fate, and like he said himself, he's "not gonna beat around the bush".

He just straight up told us, Repent, or you will go to hell. And proceeded to tell us what he saw in hell.

And it's true guys, at the end of the day, you have your one lifetime to make the decision of accepting Christ as your Saviour from your sins or not. And that's it.

Crazy torture beyond our imagination in hell, then thrown into the Lake of Fire when Jesus comes back to judge, a place where even satan dreads.

But OKKKK what is a post about baptism without PHOTOOOOS! (A baptism involving me anyways)

Always camera ready!!! I hate that I was the only one that didn't look like they were dressed for getting baptised. All green and stripy and cute (IMO ANYWAYS LOLOL) (the top was actually really cute I wanted to keep it)

OMO. I didn't even notice the girl holding my legs o.o

AND WE ARE NEW CREATIONS IN CHRIST!

This was something that has been on both my sister and my mind for a while, we were both sure that we wanted to follow Jesus for the rest of our lives, and baptism was just the final kinda declare-to-the-world-of-this-fact thing. So when Philip Mantofa got everyone on their knees repenting, and later asking who is ready to be baptised, I grabbed my sister's arm and asked her, and she said Yes and so we got up (actually with much struggle because she was all pins and needling in her legs so it was quite an embarrassing and difficult feat) but we made it in the end hahahaha and after much awkwardness of finding clothes to wear for baptism and getting changed in the UNSW Swimming Pool (I know, baptism in the UNSW Pool despite being a UTS student...................not very cool, but God is very cool  so that's ok LOL). 

So I praise God and HALLELUJAH that God has kept his hand on us, and looked after us through all the tough times since young, and made sure that we would not become a lost sheep. 

"Then Jesus told them this parable: "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country an go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbours together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."

Jesus said,

 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."

So I praise God and thank Jesus that only because of Him dying for our sins, can I now have eternal life through Christ Jesus. AMEN!

OKAY GUYSSSS, so I found a super condensed version of Philip Mantofa's experience in hell on Youtube, and here it is, so please take some time out and watch it. Twelve minutes is a very short time in exchange for an eternity in hell. Sorry guys, I'd like to be more light hearted about it, but life is short, and we only live once (yeh thanks for spreading the trend teenyboppers, because it's true)...so you have this short lifetime to make the decision to accept Jesus or not...and we never know when we might suddenly die, either tomorrow for some unknown illness, an accident, or even ripe old age (or hey, Jesus might decide to rock up next month to finish off Earth but who knows)....so think about it carefully and don't take this lightly. I love you all!!!

Holy Basil, Canley Heights

Trained it with my bestie but parted for our own ways shortly (our efficient meet and greets keeps the relationship alive LOL)

AND WE IS HERE!

And finally Thanh appears in my food posts again! Haven't seen him all hol lololol (I'm a bad friend)

But he seems to be having a lot of fun!

What?!?!? They had good lighting.

Panang curry! Was super yummy and was warned that it was gonna be "REALLY HOT" but it really wasn't. Still yummy though!

Custard apple smoothie, avocado smoothie and lychee smoothie. Give the custard apple a pass, but defs try the avocado and lychee ones!

The custard apple one was really watered down, the avocado one was very rich and thick (just the way I LOVE IT) and the lychee was really delicious!

Deep fried curry pastry puffs. I thought it tasted too fat (I mean pastry puff is fat enough, but dang, deep fried too?) But Thanh loved it!

I love pad thai......but personally this one was OK. Not enough peanuts, not enough flavour. Not THAT tasty for all the hype it gets. If you're really down for tasty pad thai I HIGHLY recommend Home Thai at Chinatown. It is amazing.

Holy Basil fried rice. Once again, nothing too special IMO. 

And the spring rolls! They were reaaaally good imo. I mean, spring rolls and so damn simple but so many restaurants still get it wrong. Holy Basil got it right though!

And a grand overview of our dishes. 

Overall, I think Holy Basil definitely has too much hype for what it's worth. It was a beautiful place though, but the food and the service wasn't so great that I'm keen to return too soon. But not bad to try out!

And this is totally random but. This is my new dinner. This and some other stuff.

Because I'm going mainstream and deciding to have a decent breakkie, a largish lunch and a small easy to digest dinner. We'll see how it goes in terms of losing weight!

Kamikaze Teppanyaki, Darling Harbour with the girls!

So I FINALLLLY met up with some of the high school girls and we decided to try out Kamikaze!

It was a massive disappointment though....at least I got some nice photos lol!

No reservation so we just annoyed them by waiting persistently. 

The place was obviously half empty but they were apparently "booked out".

My best friend is so beautiful I cannot comprehend. (May or may not have been sarcastic)

Their revenge photo lol. I am convinced I still look nice. (Actually I sit in front of my mirror at home and practice candid-shot poses to be ready for my queue of paparazzi's). (True story). (P.S. This pose is highly recommended by me because it elevates your body to make you seem non midget and forces you to somehow suck in your actually bulging stomach). (Try it).

Menu. We all went for "speciality' dishes because we were poor.

Ter's mocktail. Was super meh and not sweet enough apparently. (And she asked for the sweetest one)

My veggie udon. The size portion was impressive (well for 19 bucks, not really I guess) but the veggies were totally meh. Cabbage, carrots, cucumber and canned corn. And WAY TOO MUCH SALTY SAUCE.

Jo's steak salad, which didn't come with rice but they accidentally gave us rice. Yay!

Girls were shopping in Giordano and I saw a massive mirror so how could I resist.

And another mirror with excellent lighting as the always-closing-down-cheapo-store in Harbourside!

And the beautiful fireworks at Harbourside every Saturday night 9pm.

I super duper recommend getting yourself a seat on the floor of the wharf/wooden deck a bit before 9pm and tilting your head STRAIGHT UP to look at the fireworks. It looks like they're falling straight onto you and it is such a beautiful scene =')

Have yet to try with a sexy man of my choosing.

And right after the fireworks emerged many sexy mans of my choosing!!! They were Beat The Streets - and they were the most fantastic and entertaining street dancers I have ever seen. I actually didn't leg it after they finished and gave them some spare change. Dem abs deserved it.

All wide-smiling after seeing some of the sexiest set of chocolate abs in a long while.

THIS IS THE SMILE OF SATISFACTION I TELL YOU.

So all in all a fantastic night minus the crappy restaurant - but good company so that was okay!

Sultan's Table, Enmore

After some gooooood recommendations from Thanh, I decided to try Sultan's Table out! I actually thought it was more of a restaurant type of thing, but upon arriving I realised it was more of a kebab place with extra seating areas hahaha, but great shish sets!

 IMAM BAYILDI 9 - Whole eggplant filled with vegetables cooked in a traditional way with special herbs & spices

This was yummy, but when it came, I was like...is that it O_O

Does look a bit...sparse.

ZUCCHINI FRITTERS 4.5 - Zucchinni, carrrot, parsley, onion, cheese herbs & spices

So underwhelming, soggy and ngeh, wouldn't recommend!

VEG SHISH KEKAB 12 - Eggplant, mushroom, capsicum, onion and tomatoes skewered and char grilled

The sauces were so good!

Hesitatingly smiling because I wanted to dig in ASAAAAP lol (Actually gritting my teeth and wanting to eat) 

MUSHROOM PIDE 13 - Mushroom, onion, tomato, & cheese

Mushroom pide was yummy, but not enough mushroom inside!!!! I would have preferred it to be mushroom fiiiiiilled! (That's what happens when you become a veggo, crazy about veggies)

But overall, I thought the food (minus the fritters) was quite yummy, especiallyyyyyy the veggie shish , but I would probably recommend this place to meat-eaters more than veggos!
